A little history … One of my co-workers, Chris Thomas, set out on a personal mission in 2007 to eat all 51 of Which Wich’s superior sandwiches and blog about each one. This was his own decision, completely detached from any corporate incentive. Doing so created a lot of organic PR for the sandwich shop. Even though most of the posts where Chris documented his sandwich reviews have been deleted, here’s my post about the day many of us gathered in the store to celebrate sandwich number 51.
Monday we gathered once again, this time to sample eight new wiches. I rarely pass up free food – especially Which Wich wiches! We were each given a ranking and comments page to give feedback about each new concoction. They were all downright tasty – even the ones with Spam. Yes, they have introduced two wiches with this mysterious food. Way to branch out and start a revival!
My favorites were the Chicken Pesto (what’s not to love?), Bac-Hammon (regular sub with bacon bits), and Surf & Turf (roast beef and crab). On the flip side, the Meatloaf didn’t have ketchup or a lot of flavor (both of which I am used to), and I wasn’t a fan of the consistency of the ingredients in the Spam and Egg. But hey, I tried them all and there wasn’t a horrible one in the bunch!
Thanks so much to Chris and the store owners for organizing the tasting party. It was a fun time of being with friends and getting to know the local owners and staff a little more. The staff is definitely one of the friendliest in town; they know how to treat their customers with true service. By treating people how you want to be treated, you will keep your customers coming back for more. Many companies could learn this valuable lesson from the example of the Cool Springs Which Wich.
Thanks to my blogging friends Grace and Kristine, I was awarded the Honest Scrap Award twice. I don’t really know what it means, but who cares… woo hoo!

10 Honest Things About Me
Ok, that was fun. Now it’s my turn to tag people.
Sorry I’ve been a blog slacker as of late. Nothing out of the ordinary has been going on, but life has been full as always.
I am always busy at work 40 hours a week but even more so the past month as my team is working on some big and exciting things. We are working super hard and know that God will bless our efforts to reach more people in this country and around the world.
My friend Caroleann has discovered a way to get all of us French Lemons to our weekly get-together – make homemade gucamole. We have learned that if we get to her place late, there might not be any left to munch on. Well, now we have adopted a theme song about one of our favorite snacks, brought to us by the hilarious duo Rhett and Link. You’ll be singing the song any time you see guac from now on.
I have already committed myself to run the Country Music Half Marathon again this April in Nashville! It feels so good to have a big goal like this and a plan again. I took a break from the structured running plan for about six months, but now I’m at it again. Last night I took advantage of the amazing, non-20-degree weather and ran outside. I was on a runner’s high for the rest of the night. I am looking forward to the big race and cutting some minutes off my final time last year.
Within the past year, I have had three betta fish die. Pathetic. I still have one alive and kickin’ at home, but I am taking a break from pets at work for now. The (clean) fishbowl on my desk is now full of random questions that my coworkers can draw from whenever we need quick mental breaks. It’s a fun way to spark conversation and learn more about people. I call them “mini culture meetings.” The bowl is only half full right now, so leave a comment with any random questions you think should be added.
Have a great weekend, everyone!
My birthday was last Tuesday. It was a great day even though I was at work until 4:00. It was my first birthday that I actually went to my full-time job instead of being out of the office. Two of my first Lampo buddies, MB and Dawn, took me out to lunch at Wolfgang Puck Express, followed by them calling my mom to thank her for giving birth to me 26 years ago. The 3 of us have made it a tradition to take each other out for our birthdays over the past 4 years.
Also included that day were 3 calls of people singing “Happy Birthday” to me, lots of emails and cards, leisurely shopping, hanging out with Andy, free food, no drama, and a 5-day weekend. Sounds like a great day to me!
Speaking of free food, I had signed up for multiple restaurant email newsletters so I got quite a few birthday coupons for free or discounted food over the past few weeks. Some included Moe’s, Schlotzky’s, Famous Dave’s, Baskin Robbins, Genghis Grill, Buca di Beppo. It was great! Go to their websites to sign up for these and more if your birthday is coming up soon.
MB, me, and Dawn:

Later in the week, I celebrated with my family. We had one of my favorite home-cooked meals at my parents’ house (complete with Black Magic Cake for dessert) and got some fun goodies. Notice the raccoon painting in the picture below. That is not a part of the fun goodies, even though the prank gift made me cry from laughing so hard. It is a painting I absolutely cannot stand. Because of that, my parents thought it would be hysterical to wrap it up and give it to me. Uh yeah… ha ha. Anyone want to buy it from me?
